Email Migration

Email Moving to "the Cloud" on May 19, 2015

As announced on Day at a Glance, employee email is moving from on campus to servers off campus that are managed by Microsoft.

Microsoft Outlook is the product TSS recommends for email, calendar, and contacts. It is available for iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch), Andriod, Microsoft Phone, Mac OS X, and Windows.

For iOS, version 7.1 and newer, many apps are available in the Apple App Store which tie in with Office 365: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, Skype for Business (formerly called Lync), Office Lens, Sway, Work Folders, Delve, Video, and OneDrive.

Similarly, for Android, version 4.0 and newer, there are a number of apps from Microsoft for Office 365 in the Google Play store: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, Skype for Business (Lync), Delve, and OneDrive.

For a closer look at Outlook for iOS and Android watch "A quick look at Outlook for iOS" video from the Office blog. Also, visit Lynda.com to view Outlook for iOS and Android First Look.

For home use, on your personally-owned computer, you can download Office 365 ProPlus from portal.office.com.

Those using an Apple iMac or Macbook will need OS X 10.10 (Yosemite) to use Outlook 2015 from portal.office.com or the preview of Office Mac 2016.

For the best experience with your email you can start today using Outlook on all of your devices.
