    BROWN BAG MEETINGS
    Strategic planning becomes a puzzle during an economic crunch. How does one plan strategically for the future of Shoreline Community College when budget cuts take up our time, energy, and affect our morale? Come hear what the Strategic Planning / Budget Committee (SPBC) has been working on over this past year. 
  • January 26, 2011
    BUDGET CUTTING PROCESS RECOMMENDATIONS
    The SPBC delivered a set of recommendations to our SET liaison, VPAS Daryl Campbell. The recommendation were developed during Fall Quarter, 2010, to guide the process of reducing the college budget. The reductions came as a result of a decrease in financial support for the college from the state.

    ENROLLMENT OPPORTUNITY RESEARCH
    During Opening Week 2010, the committee facilitated workshops designed to solicit campus feedback on the committee's research into potential enrollment opportunities.
  • Summer 2010
    FOCUS ON INCREASING ENROLLMENT
    This summer the committee is engaged in research into five areas in which there may be opportunities to increase enrollment at SCC: Basic Skills, eLearning, "green" technology, international programs, and trends in higher education at the state and federal levels.

    STRATEGIC PLAN APPROVED

    STRATEGIC PLAN - OUR FUTURE IS SO BRIGHT
    Last Friday, a draft of the new Strategic Plan was presented in an all-campus meeting. Thank you to all of you who attended! The meeting featured a review of the process so far, a statement about the mission and vision by President Lambert, a presentation of the 8 themes, a brief update on the Budget process, and what the steps are in the strategic planning process.
