When the Media Calls
Press releases will usually list someone in the Communications and Marketing Office and someone from the program as the contact persons for additional information. We will call you to do a follow up interview with the reporter as needed. If for any reason you feel uncomfortable responding, we can act as the spokesperson for the College and your program or work with you before responding.
If a reporter contacts you, be courteous and cooperative. If you don't have time at the moment, just tell the reporter that and set up another time to talk. Please be mindful that the reporter may be on deadline, ask about their timing needs. If you can't meet their deadline, contact us and we'll try to help.
Thanks for being available to take these calls. Reporters and readers/viewers/listeners like to hear directly from those who are involved with any particular program or story.
